Second residential building completed in Frankfurt’s Europaviertel

Frankfurt, 28 April 2010 – CITY COLOURS marks the completion of the second residential building by Realgrund and Vivico in the Europaviertel (European Quarter) in Frankfurt/Main. The building ensemble on Europa-Allee comprises 112 flats for rent and 51 for purchase. The rented flats have all been sold to the Versorgungsanstalt des Bundes und der Länder (VBL – Federal and State Government Employees' Retirement Fund) and were handed over yesterday. Around 85% of the freehold flats have so far been sold by Vivico and Realgrund. Select Immobilien is responsible for renting and selling the flats.
Numerous other residential and office buildings as well as another hotel on the east side of the Europaviertel are currently under construction. As things stand, this will add up to a total of 840 flats on Europa-Allee. In the near future, some 5,000 people will live in the Europaviertel and around 30,000 people will work there. This summer will see the completion of the office and commercial building at Europa-Allee 12-22. BNP Paribas will be establishing its German headquarters here with more than 600 employees. The Loft Fifty Two restaurant will also be opening on the building's ground floor. This year, the Tower 185 plinth building will also be completed and occupied by PricewaterhouseCoopers and its approx. 1,500 employees.  The high-rise is scheduled for completion at the end of 2011. It has currently reached 80 metres (approx. 262 feet) in height.
