In a second building phase Vivico will expand the existing multi-storey car park by creating another 400 extra spaces. The building will cover seven storeys with above all spaces for public parking. This will enhance the parking situation at the central station and the Breslauer Platz. The second building will complement the first in terms of appearance, with the existing metal and glass façade being extended to the new section. Modern fixtures inside the building will provide insulation against noise and create a bright and friendly setting, taking into account security aspects.
Vivico recently demolished an office complex on the site. Construction work is expected to last until mid-2010. Once complete, the new parking spaces will be available for use by the tenants of RheinTriadem®, the building at Johannisstrasse 60-64 and the general public. The current RheinTriadem® multi-storey car park already has more than 200 spaces.
