Real Estate Manager of the Year 2013

Cäsar(R) real estate prize for 2013 goes to CA Immo-CEO Bruno Ettenauer

The most successful figures in the Austrian real estate sector were once again honoured at the eighth Cäsar Gala, which was held at the Palais Ferstel in Vienna. The leading lights in eight categories were chosen by more than 1,500 voters representing Austria’s property sector, along with a jury of some 120 members.

Real Estate Manager 2013: Bruno Ettenauer, CA Immobilien Anlagen AG

The strategic investment and disposal policy consistently pursued by CA Immo in Germany and Eastern Europe was the main factor influencing the public voters and the jury. The Management Board’s ambitious sales and restructuring programme for 2013 was realised on schedule; it included the sale of some 25 % of overall property assets in total above book value – equivalent to € 1.5 bn – to the benefit of CA Immo shareholders. As Mr. Ettenauer says, “For us, 2013 was a critical and ultimately highly successful year. Now that the effective course which CA Immo embarked upon in 2012 has been recognised by outside parties and the wider sector, this will spur us on to take our next steps.”
