Public parks and playground completed in Schlossviertel Nymphenburg

Munich, 23rd July 2008 - Vivico is today handing over the 33,000 square metres (355,000 square feet) of public parks in Schlossviertel Nymphenburg (Nymphenburg Palace district) to the state capital of Munich. During the handover ceremony, Neuhausen-Nymphenburg district council leader Ingeborg Staudenmeyer and Vivico Munich manager Stephan Kleber will open a children's playground measuring around 1,000 square metres (10,763 square feet), which was also built by Vivico.
The measures include the creation of approx. 20,000 square metres (215,278 square feet) of lawns and meadows, as well as 1,400 square metres (15,000 square feet) of planted areas. Over 160 trees, 220 large bushes and 195,000 bulbs have also been planted. To link the Schlossgarten (Palace Garden) with the Hirschgarten (Stag Garden), around 7,500 square metres (80,729 square feet) of lighted pathways were created; there are also 30 benches.  The playground, mainly built from oak and other natural materials, includes a large climbing frame with an attached spiral tube slide, a balance board, a tree house between two trees and a triple swing. There is also an area for smaller children with a playhouse, a sandpit and a slide.
More than 1,000 new apartments, along with a nursery school, have been built by several property developers in the last three years in Schlossviertel Nymphenburg, an area which was developed by Vivico. Vivico, together with the state capital and ESV München e. V., also completed Sportpark Nymphenburg (Nymphenburg Sports Complex) in the district at the end of 2006.  Vivico is currently planning around 15,400 square metres (165,764 square feet) of office buildings and a medical centre with a spacious square on Rosa-Bavarese-Strasse. On the ground floor of the building, in the region of 3000 square metres (32,291 square feet) of retail floor space is planned to provide local amenities for the new area.
The state capital of Munich is planning to establish a primary school with day care facilities and lunchtime supervision on another plot of land in Schlossviertel Nymphenburg.
