Frankfurt's Europaviertel continues to grow

Frankfurt, 16 February 2010 - Vivico has completed the Meininger Hotel in Frankfurt's Europaviertel after just 15 months of construction. Vivico subsidiary, omniCon, realised the hotel designed by nps tchoban voss (Hamburg). A 20-year lease has been signed between Vivico and the Meininger Group for the low-budget hotel. Meininger will open the hotel - equipped with unique design elements - on 1 April 2010.

 

The eight-storey building has around 4,300 m² (46,285 ft²) of gross floor space over 164 guest rooms furnished in a modern style, as well as a large lobby with adjoining breakfast room. The hotel is ideally situated for transport directly on Europa-Allee and the Emser Bridge and will benefit from the direct proximity to the Torhaus trade fair entrance and the Messe S-Bahn station.
At the same time, Vivico is announcing that another residential building plot -around 5,400 m² (58,125 ft²) in size - was sold to Realgrund AG. It is located directly facing the Meininger Hotel on the southern side of Europa-Allee. Realgrund is planning the erection of a residential building with a gross floor space of around 188,368 ft² on this plot.
Including this residential building, a total of around 840 flats are being built on Europa-Allee. By summer 2009 Vivico had already completed the Eurovenia residential building with 187 rental flats. Currently, Realgrund AG is realising 128 rental flats on the South 5 construction site for Hansainvest /KGAL as well as 173 rental flats for the Internationale Immobilien-Institut (International Real Estate Institute) on the South 2 construction site. In addition, Vivico and Realgrund AG are erecting the building ensemble CITY COLOURS in a joint venture. By the summer of 2010, 112 rental flats will have been built for the Versorgungsanstalt des Bundes und der Länder (VBL - Public-sector Occupational Pensions Agency) as well as 51 freehold flats.
