Europaviertel Frankfurt: Winheller leases office space in Tower 185

Law firm WINHELLER Rechtsanwälte & Steuerberater has concluded a lease for approximately 1,000 m2 (10,764 ft2) of office space in Tower 185. The nationwide law firm is moving its Frankfurt headquarters from Europa-Allee to Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage. The building’s occupancy rate is therefore around 89 %.

“The young and vibrant Europaviertel suits our law firm perfectly. This is why we opted for this central location two years ago. Owing to our recent rapid expansion, we need more space. We are delighted to be able to stay in Frankfurt, thanks to our decision to relocate to Tower 185, and we can now keep on top of things from up on the 15th floor,” says managing partner Stefan Winheller, justifying the choice of Tower 185.

Tower 185 marks the architectural beginnings of the Europaviertel. However, unlike most skyscrapers in Frankfurt, it welcomes visitors not with a vertical facade, but with a large square out front. Tridico Caffé, Panini, Wine & Snackbar and Kaffeewerk Espressionist, opened recently on the ground floor, giving visitors two more gastronomic reasons to linger for a while.

Designed by Prof. Christoph Mäckler Architektenin observance of strict sustainability criteria, Tower 185 is Germany’s fourth-highest office building at a height of 200 metres (approx. 650 feet). The Green Building has a total rental area of around 100,000 m2 (1,076,391 ft2) and was one of the first new high-rise buildings in Europe to receive the renowned LEED Gold sustainability certification from the US Green Building Council. The building’s tenants include the auditing and consulting firm PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), Hyundai Capital Europe, the law firms Mayer Brown LLP and Dechert LLP, an Excellent Business Center, the investment company CBRE Global Investors, the consulting firm HKP Group, omniCon Gesellschaft für innovatives Bauen, the Urban Land Institute and the Frankfurt branch of the Australia New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ Bank).
