CA Immo buys two plots in the Zollhafen Mainz

• Prime-location offices by the water

• Retail, day-care centres and flats planned

CA Immo, which is jointly developing the Zollhafen quarter in partnership with Stadtwerke Mainz AG, is to acquire the "Hafenspitze" and "Rheinallee III" plots by exercising its contractual option rights in the Zollhafen joint venture. CA Immo has plans to build here an office building and a mixed-use property. This was announced jointly by CA Immo Chief Executive Officer Dr. Bruno Ettenauer and Stadtwerke Board Chairman Detlev Höhne as part of the MIPIM real estate fair in Cannes.

A striking office building of up to 42m (138 ft.) in height and 12,000 m2 floor space (39,370 sq. ft.) is to be constructed as part of the "Hafenspitze" development on the northern end of the inner harbour – with an excellent location on the water.

The "Rheinallee III" development is to be mixed-use as well, with construction slated for 23,000 m2 of floor space (75,460 sq. ft.) for flats facing the harbour, large-scale retail and a day-care centre.
