CA Immo and Patrizia hold topping-out ceremony for Munich residential project

• Around 95% of the flats in WA 1 already sold

• Over 70% of the flats already sold in WA 2 as well

• Construction permit for WA 3 submitted – sales start in September 2015

Munich, 28 July 2015 After only ten months of construction, joint venture partners CA Immo and PATRIZIA are holding the topping-off ceremony for WA 1, the first phase of construction in the Baumkirchen Mitte city quarter development in Munich. Around 95% of the 170 flats in this phase have already been sold. Flats will start being handed over to the quarter's new residents in May 2016.

The realisation of the second phase, WA 2, is right on schedule. Construction began in April 2015, and around 70% of the 144 flats have found new owners.

Bruno Ettenauer, CEO of CA Immo: “With the development of this residential project, we benefit from the strong residential market in Munich. The profitable utilisation of our german land reserves is well under way.”

"Our customers appreciate the varied, extraordinarily high architectural quality of the buildings in this quarter. Word has gotten around. Numerous flats in the third phase of construction have already been reserved even though we haven't opened it up for sale," explained Peter Reichl, Regional Manager at PATRIZIA.

The Baumkirchen Mitte quarter development will contain around 600 flats in total. All the buildings have spacious roof gardens comprising exclusive allotments for individual flats as well as community areas that are open to all residents.

The architecture for the first phase of construction (WA 1) was realised by Delugan Meissl Associated Architects, a renowned firm from Vienna. Robert Mayer Architekten from Munich created the architecture for WA 2, while Maisch Wolf Architekten (Munich) won the competition for the third phase of construction (WA 3).

In the planning stage: Landmark office building NEO

Plans for the NEO office, residential and commercial building with a height of around 60 metres are also well advanced. The building designed by UN Studio (Amsterdam) will be not only the landmark for the entire quarter, but also the final property in the project. It contains around 18,500 sqm in floor space, with approx. 6,000 sqm reserved for flats. The mixed-use quarter will also have a retail centre (ALDI, REWE, dm-Drogeriemarkt), a sports field and two day care centres.

Urban district Baumkirchen Mitte brings the country to the city

The Baumkirchen Mitte quarter will be characterised by unmistakable, organic-looking buildings and a high proportion of green space. Only a good 50% of the total area will be developed; the remainder of the space will be kept as a natural reserve and will be designed as a landscape park. This natural reserve, which will be established on specially fitted platforms, will be an urban nature experience for the residents of the quarter and the surrounding neighbourhood that is unique in Munich. But the section of the site that is developed will also impress, thanks to its high proportion of green space – even the roofs of the buildings will be available for the use of future residents as roof gardens.
