The real estate company Vivico continues to develop Erlenmatt together with partners. After the Habitat Foundation acquired three building sites in the east of the area, Bricks Immobilien AG is now getting involved in the development of the western part of the quarter. The company is acquiring several building sites from Vivico.

Bricks Immobilien AG is acquiring a total of four building sites in the western part of Erlenmatt. A development plan exists for the plots of land, which are approx. 22,640 m² (243,695 ft²) in size.  Soon at least 41,000 m² (441,320 ft²) of gross floor area will be available for apartments. Commercial usage is possible on approx. 24,210 m² (260,954 ft²) of gross floor space. There are already some existing buildings on the plots of land, such as the E-Halle, which has been successfully leased to temporary users for years. The current lease agreement with Messe Basel (Basel Exhibition Centre), which also leases an existing building (Hall 6), will remain in force.

Bricks AG will develop the building sites with Losinger Construction AG and announce the utilisation concept for them at a later point in time.
