Above all, geopolitical risks can affect the countries of Eastern and South East Europe that have not yet joined the EU, owing to the possibility of a fundamental change in course of their economic policy. In specific cases, therefore, consideration is given to insuring the investment financing against expropriation, political violence and non-convertibility of the local currency in these countries.
